The Breitling Chronomat high quality replica watches was launched in 1984 and this year the collection is getting a whole new range of models, from the limited edition Chronomat Frecce Tricolori to the SS, two-tone and solid gold models. The Chronomat holds an important place in Breitling's history. Launched in 1984, when ultra-thin quartz watches were all the rage, Breitling took a bold gamble on an impressive mechanical watch that proved to be a huge success and became an icon of the era. The new Breitling Chronomat is positioned as an all-round sports watch.

The collection includes four steel-bottomed models at launch, with silver, copper, blue or black dials. There are two limited editions: the Bentley with a green dial and the Frecce Tricolori with a blue dial and special markings. There is also a steel version with a gold bezel, silver dial and steel bracelet, and a steel and gold case with a dark grey or blue dial and a steel and gold bracelet. The new Chronomat inherits the all-around sports watch style of the old Chronomat, and its design inspiration continues the DNA of the original. In preparing this review, we personally experienced three of the new models - the Frecce Tricolori limited edition, the gold version and the salmon dial version that Georges Kern admitted to being his favorite in the launch video.

All models use the same case and movement, and differ only in the dial and case materials.

The iconic rotating bezel is highlighted by the bezel, which not only protects the crystal mirror but also makes the bezel easier to operate. The bezel has prominent bezels at 3, 6, 9, and 12, set like keystones and slightly above the rest of the bezel.
The bezel indicators at 3 and 9 o'clock are true to the original and interchangeable, so the wearer can use them for either the "count-up" or "count-down" functions.
Case, Dial, and Hands
The case retains the timeless shape of the old Chronomat, but the case size has been reduced from 44mm to 42mm. Aesthetically, the edges are not as rounded as on earlier models, and the case looks like it was carved from a solid piece of steel. The bezel is fairly wide and features the iconic bezel scale at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock. The scales at 3 and 9 o'clock can be screwed down and swapped in the Breitling workshop, allowing the watch to be used as both a count-up chronograph (regular) and a count-down chronograph. The rest of the bezel is cleanly polished, with just a single engraved line at each hour, except for the top half, which also features minute markers.

This works quite well, in practice, as the crown is easy to operate for easy setting and winding. The crown is angled and marked with a tachymeter logo. The main dial itself features applique markers filled with SuperLuminova. And transfer minute markers around the periphery. The chronograph subdials are in the 3/6/9 position, as befits the B01 movement. In the Frecce Tricolori, they retain the Italian tricolore logo below the Breitling "B" logo, while in the salmon dial version shown below, it's a contrasting dark blue subdial that contrasts nicely with the salmon color of the rest of the dial. best replica watches

The new rollerbend bracelet is quite interesting, giving the new Chronomat a strong visual aesthetic that harks back to days gone by. The links are small and cylindrical, hence the name rollerbend (French for cylinder). It feels very soft and comfortable on the wrist as it moulds to the contours of the body very well. Visually, we also think it is very beautiful, with the polished links on the alternating cylinders providing a visual link to the lugs and a nice contrast to the brushed cylinders.

The movement now is the time-tested and proven B01, a movement made entirely in-house by Breitling. As mentioned earlier, Breitling supplies this movement to Tudor for use in the Black Bay Chronograph.

The movement is a true sports chronograph. The full-sized rotor ensures adequate winding capacity, providing the mainspring with a 70-hour power reserve. The finishing of the movement, while not at haute horlogerie levels, is reasonable for the price. It is very well done, with a high level of engineering, and any sports watch would be proud to have it. The buttons operate smoothly, with good positive feedback on each press to confirm start, stop and reset. The case is rated water-resistant to 200 meters and fully complies with ISO 6425 diving specifications.

Overall, we liked the new Chronomat more than we expected. We admit that we never liked the previous version because its design left us with a somewhat mediocre impression. But with a few small changes, the new Chronomat has managed to overcome the shortcomings of the previous version. The watch is now smaller, not only in terms of overall diameter, but also in other aspects, for example, the bezel label is now lower.
